Privacy policy
We collect as little about you as we can. This page explains what Daily Life Buzz collects, why, and the choices you have.
Last updated: 25 October 2026
This policy applies to https://dailylifebuzz.com (the “Site”) and the Daily Life Buzz newsletter. “We”, “us” and “our” mean Daily Life Buzz. By using the Site you agree to this policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Newsletter sign-up (if you have subscribed): your email address, the date you subscribed and confirmed, and your subscription status.
- Messages: if you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data: like any website, our servers and hosting provider receive your IP address, browser type, device type and the pages you request. We use this to deliver the Site, keep it secure and prevent abuse (for example, limiting how often a form can be submitted).
- Search queries: what you type into the Site’s search box is processed to show you results.
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data.
2. Cookies and local storage
We keep this minimal:
- Theme preference: if you choose light or dark mode, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device.
- Admin session cookie: used only by our editors when they sign in to manage the Site. Regular visitors never receive it.
We do not currently use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If that changes (for example, if we add analytics or ads), we will update this policy and, where the law requires, ask for your consent first. You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time.
3. How we use your information
- To run, maintain and secure the Site.
- To send any newsletter you asked for, and the confirmation email that checks the address is yours.
- To reply to your messages and handle correction, takedown or privacy requests.
- To detect and prevent spam, fraud and abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We never sell your personal information. We do not use it for automated decisions that have legal or similar effects on you.
4. Legal basis
We process your email address for the newsletter based on your consent, which you give by signing up and confirming. You can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing. We process technical data based on our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website, and where needed to meet legal obligations.
5. Who we share it with
We share data only with trusted service providers who help us run the Site, under contracts that require them to protect it:
- Hosting and infrastructure (for example, Vercel) to serve the Site.
- Database hosting to store newsletter subscriptions.
- Email delivery (for example, Resend) to send the newsletter.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users’ safety, or as part of a merger or sale of the business (in which case this policy will continue to apply). Some providers may process data outside your country; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards.
6. Links to other websites
Our articles may link to other websites. When you follow a link, that site’s own privacy policy applies. We are not responsible for how other sites handle your data.
7. How long we keep it
- Unconfirmed newsletter sign-ups: the confirmation link expires after 48 hours.
- Newsletter subscribers: for as long as you are subscribed. After you unsubscribe we keep your address only as a record that you opted out, so we don’t email you again, unless you ask us to delete it.
- Emails you send us: as long as needed to deal with your request.
- Server and security logs: kept for a short period by our hosting provider.
8. Security
We use HTTPS, access controls and reputable providers to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, the EU/UK GDPR or California law), you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct or update it;
- delete it;
- withdraw consent or object to processing;
- receive a copy of it in a portable format; and
- complain to your local data protection authority.
To use any of these rights, email hello@dailylifebuzz.com. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we aim to reply within 30 days.
10. Children
The Site is not aimed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we will delete them.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, may also let subscribers know by email.
12. Contact
